Chelsea could also receive a timely selection lift. ReadChelsea reported on Thursday that Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill are both in contention to return against AC Milan after Alonso described the issues which kept them out against Juventus as minor.
Palmer had been dealing with a knock suffered against Tottenham, while Chelsea have continued to manage Colwill carefully following his return from a long-term knee injury.
