Chelsea have needed to strengthen their centre-back ranks for quite some time now. It was the case last summer as well. Enzo Maresca had asked for one after Levi Colwill’s injury but was overlooked. One can wonder how much of an impact that had on his eventual decision to walk away in the middle of […]
As news broke last night that Liverpool had failed to agree an extension with Ibrahima Konate, it was only a matter of time before he was linked with a move to Chelsea. The Blues need to strengthen this summer after another poor campaign and failure to even qualify for Europe. It has been claimed that […]
Chelsea will need to strengthen in multiple positions across the pitch this summer. This is a team that has finished 10th in the Premier League and won’t play in Europe next season, when nine other English teams will. So, the need to improve must be clear. And most of us know what needs to be […]
It has been suggested for a little while that Chelsea could look to shake things up a bit in midfield. With Xabi Alonso coming in, the squad will need to be adapted to his system. In the past, we have seen him play with two number 6s in the middle of the park. The Blues […]
It is no secret that Enzo Fernandez could be looking to leave Chelsea this summer. The player has never ruled out the possibility when asked about it in public. And even his agent spoke about it not too long ago. The noise had faded away for a bit but has now cropped back up as […]
With Xabi Alonso coming in as manager, the expectation is for Chelsea to strengthen their roster over the summer. Instead, it looks like a number of players are currently pushing to leave at the moment. Obviously, that will be important for the Blues as well, as they will need to raise funds for a rebuild. […]

And it has been suggested that another midfielder might be signed as the Blues look to strengthen the spine of the team. On the other hand, Enzo Fernandez continues to be linked with a move away. Now, […]

Of course, the Spaniard found most of his success while managing in Germany and he will know that league well. A short stint at Real Madrid followed and was not a success. But considering […]
It would be safe to say that BlueCo are under pressure right now. We all know how things have played out for Chelsea. They have failed to qualify for the Champions League in three of four seasons since the takeover. What was once the minimum expectation has not become the ambition. One can only hope […]
Chelsea will need to be creative this summer. They need to strengthen their squad significantly for incoming manager Xabi Alonso. And it has already been stated time and again how they want to sign proven and experienced players. It won’t be easy to pull off on a budget though. They have no Champions League or […]
This summer is going to be as much about signing the right players as it will be about moving on from certain current ones. It remains to be seen who will end up leaving Chelsea in this upcoming transfer window. But considering the club’s recent performances and results, it should not have a major impact […]
Will Chelsea sign another striker this summer? That is unclear at the moment. It looks like Joao Pedro will continue at Stamford Bridge despite links to Barcelona. Barca are closing in on a deal to sign Anthony Gordon instead. Also, there is a possibility that Nicolas Jackson could be reintegrated into the squad. But then, […]
