Chelsea have one a mountain to climb in their second leg against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League round of 16. The Blues put in a good performance away in France. But a late collapse, caused by individual errors, left them with a 5-2 defeat. Considering how poor Chelsea were against Newcastle United at the […]

When Chelsea replaced Enzo Maresca with Liam Rosenior, a lot of eyebrows were raised at the decision. The English manager was with the Blues’ sister club, Strasbourg, at that point. And to be very honest, he did not have the resume to get the Stamford Bridge job. Yes, Rosenior had exceeded expectations at both Strasbourg […]

Four seasons into the BlueCo project, there has been little sign of progress over that period of time. The Club World Cup triumph was a welcome high, but those have been rare and far between. Once again this season, the Blues are in a struggle to qualify for the Champions League. And considering the momentum […]

The bad news keeps coming for Chelsea. Just when it looked like Reece James had put his injury problems behind him and was returning to his best, he is injured again. And the club captain looks set to be out for a while if reports coming out are accurate. Earlier today, I had pointed out […]

Having lost 5-2 away in Paris, not many are expecting Chelsea to turn it around in the second leg. The Blues actually were not bad in the first leg. For 75 minutes, they were very much in the tie. But then, a late collapse allowed the European holder’s to score thrice and possibly put the […]

The Chelsea goalkeeping situation has come under the microscope in recent weeks. For a little while, it had looked like Robert Sanchez had lost his starting spot. Filip Jorgensen started against Aston Villa out of nowhere. Then, he was also backed on the big Champions League away trip to Paris. Unfortunately, Jorgensen had a night […]

It is quite clear that this Chelsea squad is not good enough. After the Club World Cup win in the summer, the Blues were expected to take the next step and challenge for trophies. That has not happened. Instead, they seem to be going around circles under BlueCo. Deep into March, once again, the aim […]

Despite calls for Chelsea to rethink their transfer model after the failures of the first four seasons under BlueCo ownership, it looks like the club management have no such plans. On the contrary, they might be doubling down on their strategy, if reports are anything to go by. Earlier today, I reported about Chelsea’s interest […]

Four years into the BlueCo project, it is safe to say that things are not going as Chelsea fans had envisioned. Despite making significant investment into the squad, the club have taken several steps back. They have gone from perennial contenders and Champions League mainstays to a side that struggles to even finish in the […]

In a tight race to finish in the Champions League qualifying spots, Chelsea have won just one of their last five Premier League games. In Europe’s elite competition, they were handed a 5-2 defeat by PSG in mid-week, pretty much ending the tie in the first leg itself. And in the FA Cup, they needed […]

Ashley Cole is one of the best left-backs that England has ever produced. He had a successful career at both Arsenal and Chelsea, even playing an integral part in the Blues’ maiden Champions League triumph alongside winning several other trophies while at Stamford Bridge. After retiring from the pitch, Cole decided to try his hand […]

When Chelsea were linked with a move for Anthony Gordon back in 2022, when Thomas Tuchel was still the club’s manager, fans were not impressed. On Saturday, they would have certainly been hoping to have someone like him in the Blues squad, as he scored the winning goal for Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge. That […]
