A pay cut was thought to be a priority for Chelsea.

Falcao was paid £300,000 at Manchester United and has now taken a paycut of £150,000 just to prove people wrong.

The response was definitely a mixed one. Cricket star Kevin Pieterson had his say.

Our old friend ParkedTheBus had a word of encouragement.

Many fans were curious to see how the Colombian would do at Stamford Bridge.

Absolute scenes either ways. He can either be at his Imperious best like he was at Atletico or shit like he was for United. Intrigued.

Some fans even started to dream big!

When a Cuadrado cross lands on Falcao's head to score the winner in the Champions League Final next season I'm going on holiday to Colombia

What shirt will he inherit? Some very famous number 9’s..

Wonder if Falcao becomes our new number 9… pic.twitter.com/A5B2OZki96

Some fans were still unconvinced, where does this leave Remy?

Not to mention a strangely mixed reaction from Manchester United fans.

Falcao didn't play well for us but was popular cos he was nice and had a mint song. it would be shit if he started playing well for Chelsea.

The big question is, can we bring the best out of him?

Expectations might be low for some, but what is the worst that could happen?

Some however, set their expectations a little higher.
