David Mazzotta is set to complete his move to Chelsea this week to join Antonio Conte’s backroom staff.
According to the Daily Mail, Mazzotta is due to join Chelsea under the advisement of Conte.
The Chelsea boss is looking to add to his coaching staff and recommended Mazzotta to the club after Steve Holland left.
Holland departed Chelsea to become Gareth Southgate’s England assistant manager, although Mazzotta is not thought to be a like-for-like replacement.

Mazzotta is set to join Chelsea to work on opposition analysis and tactics, much like he did for Conte when he was the manager of the Italian national team.
Conte is said to be frustrated at the lack of transfer activity at the club this summer, with Mazzotta thought to be a way of appeasing the Italian boss.
Chelsea’s only signing of the summer has been former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Cabellero.
Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko are both set to complete moves to the club in the next week.
