Chelsea are looking to hijack Tottenham’s move to sign Ross Barkley this week.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea are set to hold talks with Everton this weekend over a potential deal for the midfielder.
Tottenham are in the driving seat at the moment but Chelsea are hoping to usurp them to secure Barkley’s signature.
Barkley has been heavily linked with a move away from Everton this summer, with Chelsea having been consistently touted with interest.

Everton are said to be looking for £25m to let him leave, though it remains to be seen whether either side would be willing to pay that figure.
Barkley has been ruled out of action for three months, which did put a move in doubt.
However, the injury will not affect a potential move away from the club and that Chelsea and Tottenham are still willing to sign him.
Barkley has one year left on his current Everton contract.
