Conte heaps praise on Morata

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has heaped praise on Alvaro Morata, both on and off the pitch.

Conte has praised Morata’s all-round footballing ability, whilst also highlighting his excellent attitude off the pitch.

The Chelsea boss claims that Morata is a polite, respectful, man off the pitch and the type of guy who he would want to marry his daughter – hypothetically, of course.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Conte said this:

I like him because he’s a complete player and also he has a lot of room to improve in every situation, tactical, physical, technical aspect, he’s very committed, his behaviour is always fantastic.

He is a very polite player, I like this, also I like that he’s a good finisher, he ‘feels’ the goal in every moment, he’s very good and understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going.

He’s a really good guy… It means if you have a daughter you’d be open to have this type of person with your daughter, to marry your daughter! A really good guy, a polite person.

Morata has had a superb start to his Chelsea career, with three goals and two assists in the Premier League to his name so far.

All three goals, and both assists, were courtesy of headers from the Spanish forward, who is proving to be lethal in the air.

Morata is seen as more of a technical player, but has shown the other side of his game since joining the club.

The Spaniard joined for a club-record £70m from Spanish giants Real Madrid earlier this summer.
