Batshuayi admits his confidence has been restored

Borussia Dortmund loanee Michy Batshuayi has admitted that he has had his confidence boosted since moving to Germany following a tough spell at Chelsea as reported by Sky Sports.

He has performed brilliantly since his move to Germany on deadline day scoring 8 times in just 11 appearances in all competitions.

With his parent club Chelsea signing former Arsenal man Olivier Giroud in January it seems likely that the Belgium striker will make his move permanent to the German club come the end of the season.

Chances were very few and far between for the 24-year-old under Antonio Conte at Chelsea and he had to get a move away to boost his chances of featuring at the World Cup this summer.

He has hit the league like a storm and has shown some top performances of late which put him in a great shape for the rest of the season.

The forward has been speaking about the situation:

“Don’t ask me about my future”

“I had a difficult time, and it’s good to be back on track.”

So what has changed? What has the move to Dortmund done for him? His reply seems to say quite a lot about his treatment at Chelsea.

“I was very well received by Dortmund, by the whole club. I felt a lot of love, a footballer is stronger when he has confidence,”

He continued and went onto add:

“I didn’t expect to find my efficiency so quickly. This is the real Michy, but I still want more.

“The fans are unbelievable and the stadium is beautiful. I really never expected to settle so quickly.”
