Chelsea to fight United for Vidal signature
Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to sell midfield maestro Arturo Vidal this summer, with Chelsea showing a keen interest in the Chilean, according to Calcio Mercato.
However the Blues are not the only club looking to sign Vidal.
Premier League rivals Manchester United, who lost to Chelsea in the FA Cup Final at the weekend, are looking to replace retiring midfielder Michael Carrick, and former Blues boss José Mourinho sees Vidal as the perfect replacement.
Despite interest too from Serie A giants Napoli, Bayern are more likely to sell to one of the English clubs, with Chelsea and United likely to make a bigger offer.
Vidal has been an integral part of the Bayern Munich squad since he joined in 2015 from Juventus.
Vidal scored six goals in 35 appearances this season as the Bavarian giants won yet another Bundesliga title.
The Chilean had surgery for a knee injury in April but is expected to be fully fit for the start of the 2018/19 season, whether that’s with Bayern Munich, Napoli, Manchester United or Chelsea.
