Chelsea and Juventus are both in talks with Atletico Madrid to sign defender Stefan Savic, Sky Sports reports.
Savic joined Atletico back in 2015 from Fiorentina.
The Montenegro international made 36 appearances for the club last season and was an unused substitute in Atleti’s Europa League final win over Marseille.
Chelsea are looking for defensive reinforcements this summer after a poor season saw them finish just fifth in the Premier League and ultimately miss out on a Champions League spot.
Despite manager Antonio Conte still expected to face the sack from Stamford Bridge this summer, the Blues are still keen to press ahead in the transfer market.
However, Juventus are set to rival Chelsea for the 27-year-old’s signature after losing Stefan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer to Arsenal earlier in the transfer window.
Savic has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City after spending the 2011/12 season with the Sky Blues.
