Sarri to appoint Luca Gotti as assistant manager
Chelsea are set to appoint Luca Gotti to be the assistant manager to new manager Maurizio Sarri, according to Gianluca di Marzio.
Luca Gotti has experience with a variety of Italian sides, last being the assistant manager to Roberto Donadoni at Bologna.
Before then, he had been the assistant manager at sides such as Parma and Cagliari. The Italian will now join Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea as the former Napoli boss takes over from Antonio Conte.
This does not change any deal with Gianfranco Zola, who is still set to be appointed assistant manager alongside Gotti. Zola will have a double role at Chelsea, being a link between the club and the players.
Sarri was appointed today as boss with Antonio Conte being sacked earlier this week. Conte brought a Premier League title to Chelsea, before a disappointing season that saw the Blues fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
