Chelsea target Pjanic comments on speculation

A lot of attention circulating the Bianconeri in regards to Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic being linked away from the club to Chelsea, Manchester City, and Barcelona, after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Amid reports that claim Pjanic will be sold to recoup the expenditure of clubs finest transfer to date, the Bosnian-Herzegovina international slams back stating his only concern is remaining a Juventus player.

“I listen to a lot of things that are not true,” Pjanic said. “I’m cool. I’m preparing my new season. That’s what’s the most important. What I did the last two seasons for Juventus was really great, and I am happy what I’m doing here.

I am cool … and I don’t care about what they are writing because I listen and I read a lot of things, and a lot of things are not true.”

Joining Juve from adversaries Roma back in 2016 for a fee of €32 million, he has proven to be a crucial part of the infrastructure for Juves’ Midfield.

During Discussions with ESPN FC at Adidas flagship store in New York, Miralem reveals he is looking forward to playing alongside Ronaldo ahead of the new season.

“We are happy that he’s there,” Pjanic said. “I give him just a welcome. He will in a couple of days start his preseason, and, of course, I think Juve did a big signing, and the team are happy, he’s happy, so I think he will do what he did also in the past, what he did at Man [United] and Real Madrid.

“He won a lot of titles. He did big and great things, and I think he will continue like that. He’s a great player, and I think he can help a lot his new club. I think he will give a lot to Juventus.”

A budding partnership seems likely to form at the Allianz stadium and with that being said Juventus will hope Ronaldo will be the catalyst to finding success in the champions league.

According to the Italian outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea is close to securing the deal of their long-awaited target Matias Vecino.

In further news, the blue lions lead the race for Higuain as the forward refuses to accept offer tabled by AC Milan coming in at a lower wage of £80,000. A prominent chance to sweep a combined £90 million fee for both Higuain, and Daniele Rugani.
