Chelsea to hold talks with Juventus over Rugani and Higuain

Chelsea are reportedly set to open talks with Juventus over a potential double deal, bringing Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani to Stamford Bridge, according to Calcio Mercato.

Reports from Italy, via the Mirror, suggest that Juventus and Chelsea will today meet in the French Riviera to discuss a deal for the pair, with Maurizio Sarri looking to recruit some talent from his homeland.

Sarri has already recruited from Serie A this window, bringing Jorginho to Stamford Bridge from his former side Napoli. The Italian worked with Higuain at Napoli, before the striker made a big money move to Juventus.

Juventus will be represented by sporting director Fabio Paretic at the meeting between the two clubs. Meanwhile, Chelsea have sent technical director Marina Granovskaia to try and bring the two players to Stamford Bridge.

The two players won’t be cheap deals, however, with Juventus seeking over £100 million for the pair.
