La Liga outfit Valencia are leading the chase to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan, according to reports in Spain.
The Belgium international spent the second half of last season on loan with Borussia Dortmund in Germany, after struggling to nail down a regular spot in the first half of the campaign.
Despite impressing with Dortmund, scoring nine goals in 14 games, Batshuayi’s position at Chelsea has been uncertain throughout the summer, leading to reports of an imminent departure.
Currently it appears that Àlvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud are ahead of the 24-year old in the pecking order, and so a loan away seems like the natural next step.
And according to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, as reported by Football.London, the former Marseille forward prefers a move to the Mestella this summer.
Valencia are currently in the market for reinforcements as they look to strengthen ahead of the new season, and Batshuayi could well be the ideal signing to help the club achieve that.
