Chelsea star Eden Hazard says that he enjoying life at the club under new boss Maurizio Sarri, the Evening Standard reports.
The Belgian says that he is enjoying the amount of possession that his side have had so far this season and that he is happy at the club
The 27-year-old scored his second goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, wit Chelsea having won all four of their opening Premier League games.
Hazard – who was repeatedly linked with Real Madrid in the summer – spoke of the different style to the side that Sarri has brought with him.
I like to have the ball. Not in my own half, but in the last 30 metres. I like this type of game. It’s completely different than Antonio Conte or (Jose) Mourinho before. We have more ball so for me it’s not bad.
The Belgian’s contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2020 and despite having already been offered a contract extensions, he is yet to sign.
However Hazard is currently showing no signs of unrest at the club and appears happy to continue playing for the Blues.
Hazard went on to speak of the influence that Chelsea’s new summer signing have brought to the squad.
It’s not so different (from the past). The big difference is we bring two players – Jorginho and (Mateo) Kovacic – and they are completely different.
We just try to keep the ball more often and then when we have a chance to score, we need to score. But when we have more ball we can be more dangerous. We’re playing good football, so we enjoy. I want to keep this momentum.
