Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they beat struggling Southampton 3-0 away from home.
The result sends Chelsea top of the Premier League, although a win for Manchester City or Liverpool later in the day will put them above the Blues.
Eden Hazard opened the scoring in the first-half after Ross Barkley won the ball back and slotted him through.
Barkley then netted his first for Chelsea in the second-half as he converted from close range after Giroud sent the ball across goal.
Alvaro Morata sealed the win in added-time as he finished well from Eden Hazard’s ball through.
