Ruben Loftus-Cheek hit a fantastic hat-trick against Belarusian outfit BATE Borisov to take Chelsea’s opening Europa League group stage fixtures to three wins from three.
The Blues were by far the better side, and controlled the pace of the game from the offset, with Loftus-Cheek scoring two of his three goals within the first ten minutes – the first of which came inside two minutes.
BATE rallied late on to grab a consolation, but it did little to derail Chelsea’s flow, with the Blues now heading into the second round of group stage fixtures with a sizeable six-point lead over second place PAOK.
