Do Chelsea need a new striker in January?

Much was made of Chelsea’s decision to not push through and sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.

Gonzalo Higuain was heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, but ultimately signed on loan for AC Milan.

This left Chelsea with Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata, with Giroud starting the season as Sarri’s first choice.

However, Giroud is yet to score in 11 appearances this season and Morata is starting to hit form.

Morata has five goals in ten Premier League appearances, with six in all competitions.
