Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from the 1-0 loss to Leicester City when they make the short journey north to face Watford at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets are a dangerous side at home and Maurizio Sarri will know that his players will need to play very well in order to get three valuable points.
With that being said, here’s the XI that we think he’ll select for the game.
GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga
No surprises here! Kepa Arrizabalaga will continue as the number one goalkeeper at the club.
RB: Cesar Azpilicueta
Not a shock wither! The skipper will stay in the side at right-back.
CB: Antonio Rudiger
Antonio Rudiger questioned Chelsea’s mentality after the loss to Leicester so he’ll need to step up to the plate against a physical Watford side.
CB: David Luiz
Watford will look to get physical with David Luiz, so the Brazilian will need to stay switched on for 90 minutes.
LB: Marcos Alonso
Marcos Alonso is probably still kicking himself for not equalising late on against the Foxes. He’ll get a chance to redeem himself at Vicarage Road.
The calls from outside the club to drop Jorginho and play N’golo Kante in a deeper role are growing louder but Sarri is unlikely to pay any attention to them.
CM: N'golo Kante
Speaking of N’golo Kante, he’ll play in his more advanced role once again.
CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced Mateo Kovacic after an hour against Leicester and we think he’ll get the nod from the start against the Hornets.
Pedro will continue to operate from the right side of the Chelsea front three.
Willian wasn’t at his best against Leicester but we think he’ll be given the chance to redeem himself.
ST: Eden Hazard
He might prefer to play from the left but Eden Hazard will likely start this game in the false nine position.
