Mateo Kovacic has confirmed that Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard has been asking him questions about life at Real Madrid, the Express reports.
Kovacic is on a season-long loan at the Blues from Real.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga giants in recent weeks, with Kovacic now confirming that the Belgian had been asking him about life with the Spanish club.
For me, he is an incredible player.
I did not know he was that good and he can easily be one of the two or three best players in the world.
He asked me how it was there (at Real) but we are looking forward to having a great season together, to be fully concentrated on Chelsea.
He is focused a lot on doing great things with Chelsea.
Real have been monitoring the forward’s situation for several seasons now and it appears that a deal to take the Belgian to Spain could now be closer than ever before.
Hazard has been a standout player for Maurizio Sarri’s side this season, with the Blues valuing Hazard at £150m.
Former Chelsea star Michael Essien told Express Sport of his opinion on Hazard’s current situation:

He’s been playing in the Premier League very well and looks fantastic at the moment.
The interest of Real Madrid, I only hear from people in the media.
But I mean when Real Madrid come calling… every player would love to play for them.
