The game was a send off for midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who looks likely to complete a move to Monaco.
The Spaniard missed a penalty for the Blues, with Forest keeper Luke Steele making the save.
However, two Alvaro Morata goals would secure the win for the Blues, who never really faced much of a threat from Forest.
