Chelsea predicted XI: Manchester City (N)

Chelsea’s comprehensive 3-0 victory over Swedish champions Malmo has already been swept aside, with attention quickly turning to Sunday’s match against Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Manchester City outfit.

The first domestic cup final of the season is not perhaps the showcase affair many expected, and Maurizio Sarri will walk on to the hallowed Wembley turf looking to save his job as he attempts to claim his first victory, in what will be his fourth attempt this season, under the omnipotent glare of the Wembley Arch.

Guardiola, on the other hand, has seemingly exerted his power over the festering cauldron of expectation that Wembley has become for so many teams in the past, and as reigning champions, his City side will take to the pitch as overwhelming favourites to secure a second successive Carabao Cup.

Both Pedro and Davide Zappacosta remain doubts for the game, having missed the side’s victory over Malmo with similar bouts of illness. Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is also running the risk of being unfit to start against City, as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

Take a look at how we expect Chelsea to line up on Sunday!

matchday.
