Chelsea predicted XI: Wolves (H)

Chelsea have the chance to build on an impressive run of form this Sunday, as they take on Nuno Espirito Santos’s rampant counter attacking Wolves team at Stamford Bridge.

Coming off the back of a comprehensive 3-0 victory of Dynamo Kyiv in the week, the atmosphere around the club could not be too much more optimistic considering the despondency that had only a couple weeks ago engulfed the Blues in a mist of mediocrity and ambivalence. Wolves, on the other hand, have fared far better since the turn of the year, reaping the benefits of a squad littered with some of Europe’s most coveted young players, they have stormed up through the league collecting notable scalps away to Tottenham and Arsenal before beating Sunday’s opponents Chelsea 2-1 in the reverse fixture – arguably the catalyst for both team’s change in fortunes.

A full strength team will be available to Maurizio Sarri heading into the game, and with the likes of Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez looking to reignite their reputations as the scourge of Chelsea news of his players’ fitness will be welcomed by the chain-smoking Italian manager.
