Chelsea predicted XI: Arsenal (N)

Two weeks on from the debacle in Boston, Chelsea are now just 90 minutes away from ending their season on a high, but they will certainly have their work cut out with several high-profile players now missing through injury.

Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi were already expected to miss the final having suffered season-ending injuries against Burnley and Manchester United respectively, but Maurizio Sarri has now been faced with a midfield dilemma as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, one of the few players finding form towards the back end of the campaign, was seen hobbling off against the New England Revolution only later to be diagnosed with an Achilles injury that will see him sidelined for over six months.

Coverage surrounding the game has centred around the escalating travel prices and the safety concerns for both fans and players as a result of strict de facto political issues with Armenia. This has seen Arsenal return 2,700 tickets of there already depleted allocation, whilst the Gunners Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been heavily advised to not step foot in Azerbaijan due to the origins of his surname.

Should the match mirror the build up in controversy then the few disciples who made the ill-fated trip to Baku will feel somewhat vindicated by their decision to fork out such a huge amount of money and time on travelling to see their team in European competition.

Here is how we predict the Blues to line up on Wednesday night.

matchday.
