Chelsea’s fixture list has been released in full and despite the confusion about who will be in the dugout next season, supporters now know how their season will pan out.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Chelsea start the season away at Manchester United in what is the standout fixture of the opening round of games.

Chelsea fans will remember the last time that they started the season against United, back in 2004 under Jose Mourinho where they want on to win the league. Could history repeat itself?

Despite that, it’s a flattering opening month for the Blues, with games against newly-promoted duo Norwich and Sheffield United.

Be it Frank Lampard or someone else in the dugout, they have a reasonable start to the season and should use it as a brilliant opportunity to build up some momentum in their efforts to close the gap on the top two.

Christmas throws up some challenges for the Blues, with a London derby against Spurs on 21 December.

They then face Southampton and Arsenal to finish off 2019. It’s by no means the easiest of games for the Blues over the festive period, but it could have certainly been trickier.

The end of season run-in could be considered favourable again, it sees the Blues come up against Norwich and Sheffield United before the last two games against Liverpool and Wolves.
