Four players Chelsea could look at during the Copa America

The 2019 Copa America kicked off last night as hosts Brazil defeated Bolivia 3-0 thanks to a Philippe Coutinho brace and Everton Soares’ contribution.

It’s an exciting tournament that grasps the attention of a worldwide audience but it’s also seen as an opportunity for clubs to scout the most exciting talent South America has to offer.

If Chelsea’s transfer appeal is successful, this summer could be their last chance to make signings for a couple of years and the Copa America will play a great role in advertising players the Blues could target.

Following the 2018-19 campaign, Maurizio Sarri is leaving behind a rather depleted squad and Chelsea look to be in need of a new full-back, centre-back, central midfielder and goal-scoring forward.

In this slideshow, we take a look at an option in each position which could strengthen the club’s options going into the new season without their star man Eden Hazard.
