An early look at Manchester United vs Chelsea
For the second year in a row, Chelsea will begin their Premier League campaign with a new manager following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri.
Despite a third-place finish and a Europa League win, Chelsea fans were never fully united behind Sarri but there’s no question that the new manager will have their full backing.
Former club legend Frank Lampard has returned to Stamford Bridge as the new man in charge of Chelsea and whilst some may question why such an inexperienced manager has been given the job, there’ll be no ill-feeling as it relates to the fans.
Chelsea supporters love Lampard, in a similar manner to how Manchester United fans feel about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and those two men will be in the Old Trafford dugouts for the first game of their Premier League campaigns.
The two sides drew both of the league meetings last season, with United winning the FA Cup clash between the duo, and plenty of pundits are expecting another tight game on August 11th.

It’s unclear as to exactly which tactics Lampard or Solskjaer will use in the game, but we do know the pool of players that Chelsea will be selecting from. The Blues have a transfer ban, so Lampard’s squad will not change between now and August 11th, but there’s a good chance that United’s will.
The Red Devils seem keen to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City and they could do plenty more business too, with players like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku possibly departing to make room for others.
Whilst we don’t know exactly how United will set up for the game, we can be sure that the match will be a good one as Man United v Chelsea clashes usually are.
