Chelsea player ratings: Barcelona (N)

A much improved Chelsea side got the better of Barcelona as they beat the La Liga giants 2-1 in the Blues’ latest pre-season game.

With the Premier League season edging ever closer, we are learning more and more about Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side, with the first game against Manchester United just weeks away.

Tammy Abraham scored the opening goal for Chelsea as he led the line in a Blues team that included the likes of Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic.

Ross Barkley came off the bench to score Chelsea’s second in the latter stages of the game.

It may have only been Barcelona’s first game of their pre-season, but it makes for positive viewing from a Chelsea perspective none the less.

Ivan Rakitic scored a late goal to cut the deficit and there was not much that Kepa could have done to stop it.

Here is how we rated the Blues players after the game.
