The Chelsea team features many youngsters, with Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham handed starts after impressive campaigns for Derby County and Aston Villa last season respectively.
However, some Chelsea fans are wondering why star signing Christian Pulisic will have to start from the bench.
FutbolChelsea believes that the American winger had to start for the first game of the season.

REad Chelsea’s verdict
It does seem an odd decision by Lampard, but this could be a stroke of genius from the Blues legend.
Pulisic could be a great asset in the second half, especially if the win is in sight.
N’Golo Kante’s absence also plays a part, meaning Mason Mount is handed a start from the off.
It is certainly a different side than last season, but this is something that Blues fans might have to get used to.
