Crystal Palace are reportedly leading the chase to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to reports.
The Sutton and Croydon Guardian claims that Palace are in the lead in the chase for Giroud, but there is still some strong interest from the likes of West Ham, and several French clubs.
Palace are looking for reinforcements up front, with Christian Benteke and Conor Wickham both misfiring.
Giroud has found himself outside the Chelsea team at the minute, mainly thanks to the form of Tammy Abraham since the player returned from his loan spell at Aston Villa.

With Giroud not getting any younger, and his first-team chances being limited, a move to Palace may be the best deal for both parties.
With rumours suggesting that Chelsea’s transfer ban could be appealed in January, the Blues could potentially afford to sell the striker, without having to worry about a potential depth issue.
Therefore, a move to the Eagles could be the correct choice for Giroud.
