Abraham leads the Blues scoring charts and Keane, speaking on ITV, praised the the attacker for his “outstanding” performances so far this season.

Outstanding. He’s gone out on loan, had to bide his time, and the key for any young player when you get an opportunity at a big club or an international, you’ve got to take it. He’s taken it. All credit to him.

Abraham has established himself as a top star for the Blues in only a short time, and looks to be Frank Lampard’s number one choice up top.

The attacker’s goal for England just shows how great his form is as of late, and shows that things can only get better for him.

Long may his form continue.
