Key Battles: Bournemouth (A)

Chelsea travel to the south coast as they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

The Blues come into this game off the back of a 3-0 Champions League loss to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

That game was a reality check for, as it shows just how far behind they are in comparison to Europe’s biggest teams.

However, Chelsea have to concentrate on the league for now and travelling to Bournemouth will be a tricky affair.

In their visit to the Vitality Stadium last season, Chelsea were thumped 4-0 by Bournemouth and the Cherries also bagged a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge two months ago.

Eddie Howe’s team are currently in a relegation scrap and will be looking for at least a point in this fixture, but Howe’s eyes will light up at the prospect of doing the double over Frank Lampard’s men.

Coming into this fixture with back-to-back home wins, Bournemouth will want to make the Vitality more a fortress if they want to remain in the Premier League next season.

Here’s the ‘Key Battles’ we think you need to look out for…

matchday.
