According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are set to sign the second largest shirt sponsorship deal in the history of English football.
The deal with Yokohama is believed to be worth an eye watering £40 million a year, dwarfing the £18 million a year agreement the Blues had with Samsung.
Turkish Airlines looked set to strike a deal with Chelsea, but their £25 million a year offer has seemingly been blown out of the water by the Japanese tire company.
Beaten only by Manchester United’s mega deal with Chevrolet, this will undoubtedly allow Chelsea more freedom for movement within the transfer market, and contribute significantly with their ongoing battle against the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
