After enduring loan spells with Liverpool and Stoke over the last couple of years, Victor Moses’ day’s at Stamford Bridge look to be coming to an end. His on loan club Stoke travel to Chelsea on Saturday and the club chairman Peter Coates has spoken of his intent on retaining the services of Moses.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Coates said: “There are some obvious things we want to do. Victor Moses is an interesting [situation] for us, would like to see how the land lies with that one. If we can, we would like to do a deal.”
So far this season, Moses has made twenty two appearances at the Britannia and has scored four goals in the process. Stoke are looking to open talks with the asking price thought to be around £5 million. Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan back in 2011 for a fee estimated to be around £7 million, which included £2 million in add-ons. Moses struggled whilst on loan at Anfield and only made nine starts, thanks to the fine form of Raheem Sterling.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Moses made twenty three appearances which spread through the Champions League, Europa League and the Premier League.
