The winger who joined Arsenal at the of just sixteen could be on his way out of the Emirates. Walcott’s contract expires at the end of next season, but negotiations over a possible extension are thought to be non existent.
Since the signings of the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck, Walcott has failed to hold down a regular place in Arsene Wengers plans.
Should the winger become available over the summer, it would leave a number of Premier League clubs on red alert. The winger would aid Manchester City’s bid to oblige with home grown rules. Brendan Rogers is also keen to bring him to Anfield as they maintain their push for continuous Champions League football.
Arsenal may look to cash in on the winger or fear loosing him for nothing next season. His time at Arsenal has been plagued by injuries. His most recent injury saw him miss out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Since returning from injury, Walcott has made eight appearances this season and scored two goals. He is also known for his versatility, being more than capable of playing as a lone striker.
