According to the Daily Mail Chelsea opened talks with Radamel Falcao and his representatives on Friday regarding the possibility of bringing the Colombian to Stamford Bridge. A host of rumours has emerged following the announcement of Didier Drobga’s announcement. Which also happened just days after reports revealed Louis Van Gaal would not take up the option to bring Radamel Falcao to Old Trafford on a permanent deal.
Falcao is believed to be ready to accept a massive pay cut to his mega £265,000 a week wages, with a reported £100,000 set to be axed from that figure. Jose Mourinho will also be confident of securing a deal for the striker with the pair sharing the same agent, Jorge Mendes. Despite scoring just four goals in twenty nine appearances at Old Trafford, Falcao could be offered a life line at Chelsea.
A meeting between the club and the player’s representatives was believed to have taken place with Monaco keen to remove the player from the wage bill. It is yet to be reported whether any move would see Falcao move to the Bridge on loan or permanently. Can the Colombian rediscover the form that attracted Chelsea just a few years ago?
Falcao revealed on Friday: “I have a few offers, but my agent’s looking after it”.
