Chelsea’s star man, Eden Hazard has today opened the door for Christian Benteke at Chelsea.
The Belgian winger admitted he would be very happy for the Aston Villa striker to join the West London outfit. According to Sky Sports, Hazard told reporters in Belgium: “If Christian signs with us, I would be the happiest man in the world”.
Hazard went on too add “I have a great relationship with him and would like nothing better than to play with him. Christian is 25. He is at an age where he has to make a good career choice.
“Not that Aston Villa is a small club but he has already played many great games and can now play in the Champions League.”
Benteke has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, he is also one of a many news being linked with a move to Chelsea, filling the void left by Didier Drogba. Benteke enjoyed a strong finish to the Premier League campaign under Tim Sherwood, he scored a total of 13 goals throughout the 2014-15 campaign.
It was recently reported on Sky Sports that Benteke’s release clause is around £32.5m. Would you be happy to pay for Chelsea to pay that for Benteke?
