The reports linking the club with the right back have been around for some time now. We first brought you the news of interest from Chelsea way back in March. However it now seems Manea will sign from Viitorul, neither club have released anything official as of yet.
Manea looks set to join Vitesse on loan next season with Chelsea looking to continue his development. Manea is thought to be comfortable at centre back, right back and in the defensive midfield spot. Surely something that caught the eye of Jose Mourinho. The previous report stated the deal was believed to be in the region of £2.3m.
The seventeen year old made his international debut at the age of just sixteen, however he is required to spend time on loan elsewhere before he applies for a work permit.
