Patrick Bamford’s situation is allegedly being monitored by a host of Premier League clubs such as Newcastle and Sunderland. It now appears West Brom have shown interest in the twenty-one-year-old who has two years left on his contract at Chelsea, and will be returning to the club this summer after an impressive loan spell with Middlesbrough, where he won Championship Player of The Year and scored nineteen goals.
The price that Chelsea would be asking for is rumoured to me somewhere around £8m, which would likely scare off most clubs from taking the permanent approach. According to reports, Chelsea have offered the Englishman a five year contract. Even if Bamford commits his future to west London, there are quite a few Premier League sides who will be knocking on the Stamford Bridge doorstep in the hopes of acquiring the young talent on loan.
It certainly doesn’t seem as though Patrick Bamford will be at Chelsea next season though; Diego Costa and Remy have already cemented their spots, and whispers of Falcao jumping aboard will not seem to disappear.
It is clear to see that Bamford will not be at Chelsea next season, but where will he end up? Furthermore, will he leave permanently or temporarily once again? As always, we’ll keep you updated here on Read Chelsea.
