Juventus manager Massimo Allegri is determined to make Chelsea’s Oscar his new number ten next season. The Old Lady’s current situation can be described as “the rich getting richer”. A domestic double means that they are currently the kings of Italy, and were even one win away from becoming champions of Europe. However, the Bianconeri will be looking to do nothing but strengthen this summer, and Oscar is at the top of their list.
Chelsea, along with a host of Europe’s top clubs, have been linked with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba for the last year. It is believed that José Mourinho may be interested in a big money move for the Frenchman. In that case, Allegri will try to ensure that Oscar comes their way as a part of that deal. However, a move for Pogba seems highly unlikely for the Blues, with Mourinho’s inclusion of Ruben Loftus-Cheek into the first team.
So, just how badly does Massimo Allegri want Oscar at Juventus next season? If a move for Pogba isn’t on the cards, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Italian champions launch an extraordinary bid for our number eight this summer. Oscar began to fall out of favour at Chelsea after the new year, and it’ll be interesting to see how the discussions between Juventus and the Brazilian’s agent pan out.
