The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea have agreed a fee with Sport Club Internacional for midfielder, Charles Aranguiz.
Aranguiz impressed in Chile’s Copa America victory last month putting clubs in Europe on alert. Jose Mourinho’s side are competing with Ligue 1 outfit, Marseille for the signature of Internacional man.
The deal is believed to still be in the early stages though with the midfielder considering his options with the lure of first-team action in France something to consider against joining the current Premier League Champions.
The 26-year old has proven to be an asset for Internacional bagging 11 goals in 55 appearances since joining the Brazilian side in 2014.
Jose Mourinho is looking to add further depth to his midfield with Aranguiz bring a great deal of versatility. The Chilean has played all across midfield from right-winger to a more central role where he can dictate play. He is known for his accuracy in Brazil where he completed 87% of his passes last season.
