In a recent interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke revealed he would welcome Filipe Luis back to Atletico.
The left back has been linked with a move back to the Spanish capital after he has failed to knuckled a spot in Chelsea’s starting XI. Luis has failed to displace the impress Azpilicueta at left back. Various reports have linked the Brazilian with a move back to Madrid, with the Spanish side thought to be open to a loan move. However contrasting reports have stated Chelsea would be open to letting Luis go, providing they can recoup some of the fee they brought him in for.
His former team-mate told Marca: “Filipe Luis decided to leave and now he has the chance to return. If he arrives, there will be more competition, and that’s good. We’ll be a better team and fight for more things.”
Koke, who in previous windows has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge himself, went on too add: “He is no traitor. As long as he plays, and plays well, there won’t be any problem.”
