In the same day that Jose Mourinho confirmed that he will not be selling Loic Remy, the French striker has spoken of his eagerness to work with Radamel Falcao.
Charles Perrin of the Express claims that Remy is very keen to link up with Falcao after following his career. Remy had attracted interest from other Premier League sides, however he looks set to remain at Stamford Bridge, much to the delight of the Chelsea faithful. The Express quote Remy saying: “Falcao is one of the best strikers in the league and it’s good for the club to have this kind of player. For me there is no problem,”
“It is a good thing that he joined us and we have three strikers. We can all play because one of us can get injured and there are a lot of games during the season. Chelsea can count on three strikers and that’s really good.”
Later in the report, Remy added: “So for me it’s good to play with him. I can learn a lot training next to this kind of player. It’s all good to have Diego and Falcao next to me to improve and to be a good striker.”
The addition of Falcao is going to add fierce competition for places in the Chelsea starting XI, meaning Mourinho will hopefully reap the benefits.
