News has broken this evening that Chelsea are on the verge of sealing a deal for Galatasary left back, Alex Telles.
According to gianlucadimarzio.com, Chelsea have beaten off competition from Juventus and Inter Milan for the left back. The news follows reports that suggested Chelsea were set to sign Abdul Baba Rahman. Augsburg set their price for left back and it now seems Jose Mourinho will look elsewhere.
Negotiations are believed to be in the final stages, with the player ready to join the Premier League champions. The 22 year old featured 22 times for Galatasary last season, scoring 1 league goal in the process.
Telles only moved to the Turkish side back in January 2014, for just €6m. The Brazilian has been described in the past as a quick offensive full back and also skillful.
Is this a good move for Chelsea? Telles has time on his side, coming in clearly as a replacement option for the time being. Would you have rather have seen Baba Rahman arrive at Stamford Bridge? Let us know your thoughts!
