Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at home to Swansea on Saturday, Blues defender Gary Cahill stated that the result felt like two points dropped, rather than a point gained.
The current Premier League champions looked on course to start the season off with three points, as they went in at half-time 2-1 to the good as Oscar found the net with a free-kick and Federico Fernandez found his own net in between new signing Andre Ayew getting his side back in the game with a debut goal.

Shortly after the break, the tables turned. Thibaut Courtois saw red for bringing down Bafetimbi Gomis who was through on goal, with the striker scoring the resulting penalty.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Cahill said:
“They made it tough for us. We played with 10 men for a long period of the game, so it was difficult. I feel a bit flat, I feel a bit disappointed after the game.”
“We keep working hard – dig in, work hard in what is going to be a very tough season.”
“It seemed like it was a bit of a frantic game, especially in the second half – it was like we attack them, they attack us, we attack them, they attack us.”
The 29-year-old English defender finished his interview by saying:
“We’ve got two tough away games now.”
Cahill isn’t wrong there. Chelsea’s next game in the Premier League will be in Manchester, where they are being hosted by the Blue part, Manuel Pellegrini’s City.
