After a dramatic fall-out with Jose Mourinho after events during the Swansea draw, Eva Carneiro could be axed from the Chelsea bench.
According to Matt Law of the Telegraph, her role has significantly changed in the club following the row with Mourinho over Eden Hazard’s treatment on Saturday. Mourinho was unhappy as Chelsea were left with 9 men on the pitch at one stage.
The report suggests that Carneiro will no longer attend training sessions, nor will she attend games or the team hotel. She isn’t expected to feature on the away bench at Manchester City on Sunday.
She will now carry out her duties at Cobham, should she accept the changed role within the club. All of this comes after Mourinho criticised her due to the timing of the treatment.
A number of other changes to Mourinho’s support staff are expected to take place following the change to Eva Carneiro’s role.
