Chelsea are holding off a fourth bid for John Stones as they await a response from the player.
The Blues are waiting to see if the England defender will request to leave Roberto Martinez’s side according to the Telegraph. Reports earlier today confirmed that Chelsea had launched a third bid for the defender which was believed to be in the region of £30m.
It is unsure at this time whether or not John Stones will push for a move to the Premier League champions.
After the disappointing defeat away to Manchester City this weekend, which saw John Terry substituted at half time, it is clear to see Mourinho wants to improve his defensive line.
Everton are holding firm on their stance that Stones is not for sale, Chelsea will seemingly have to pay over the odds for the player. Should the defender join the Blues, he will join new signing Baba Rahman as Mourinho looks set to shake the defence around.
