Marko Marin has arrived in Turkey to complete his deal to Turkish side Trabzonspor according to Turkishfootball.com
The report shows the German playmaker landing in Turkey, where he was met by fans of Trabzonspor at the Turkish airport. After a few photos with the fans, Marin soon left with a club scarf draped around his neck.
Trabzonspor sporting director Suleyman Hurma confirmed that the club, who have had former Blues in the form of Florent Malouda and Jose Boswinga on their books, are close to sealing a deal.
“He will arrive in Trabzon tonight [Monday] and undergo a medical tomorrow before completing his transfer,”
According to the report, a deal has been struck worth around €2.5m. Marin joined Chelsea in 2012, from German side Weder Bremen. Marin has struggled to find regular game time at Chelsea, he has been forced out on loan to the likes of Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.
The move will offer Marin stability and a chance to rekindle what was once a promising career. Good luck Marko!
