After winning a host of individual awards in last season’s title-winning campaign, it is safe to say that Eden Hazard was the Premier League’s best player of the 2014/2015 season. Even better, Chelsea was England’s strongest club, as they dominated early on and put it in cruise control during the latter stages as they captured their fourth Premier League title.
However, since the title celebrations ended and the confetti was cleaned off the Stamford Bridge pitch back in May, things have gone quite the opposite for The Blues. The man who bears the number ten shirt for Chelsea Football Club has recently admitted that he, and his team, have just not been good enough so far this season.

The Daily Express have revealed some quotes from Eden Hazard on both he and the club’s disastrous start to the new season as he spoke to L’Equipe recently: “It’s obvious. You don’t need to know too much about football to compare what I did last season and what I did this season. I’m not as good.”
“It’s more of a collective problem than an individual one,” Eden explained. “We’re professionals. We knew this season was going to be more difficult… but within the squad we have the quality to bounce back.”
“Individually and collectively, we’re not up to scratch. Starting with me.”
“We had a difficult month in August. I hope that the international break will allow me to rediscover my form.”

Chelsea has started the season with just one win, a draw, and two losses. It most certainly hasn’t been the start that defending champions would hope for, and there is a lot of improvement to be made.
However, quite a few of the club’s players are currently away at international duty, so we’ll have to wait until 12th September before we see the lads in action once again. They’ll be travelling up to Merseyside to take on Everton in what promises to be an extremely difficult match.
