Manchester United was forced to spend big on transfer deadline day to secure the signature of Anthony Martial.
The promising young French striker joined Manchester United in a mega money deal from AS Monaco. It cost United £36m to prise the youngster away from France, and the reports suggest it could rise up to £58m, thanks to numerous add-ons.

According to Mike Keegan of the Mail Online, Van Gaal was forced to show his hand and splash the cash in order to beat off interest from the likes of Chelsea, Man City, PSG and Barcelona.
The report suggests that the previously mentioned clubs, including Chelsea, had a pre-contract agreement for the striker in place for next summer. The Mail says a source close to the club said: ‘Barcelona, Paris St Germain, Chelsea and City were all in on pre-contract for Martial next season,’
Despite his youth, Martial looks to be one for the future. With the long-term future of Chelsea’s striker position always unsure, would you have liked to see Martial at Chelsea and for what price?
